FRC follows a structured season. Here's what your child's year looks like, from first workshop to championship stage.
New members join, skills get assessed, and we run intro workshops covering CAD, basic fabrication, and team workflows.
Intensive skill development, advanced workshops, and strategy review of past games. We prototype subsystems for January.
FIRST releases the new game. The team breaks down the challenge and locks in a robot design within the first week.
Six weeks of intense engineering — CAD to fabrication to wiring to code to testing. Every student owns a critical piece.
District events. Alliance selection, qualification matches, elimination rounds — the path to District Championship.
District Championship push, and FIRST Championship in Houston if we qualify. Then debrief and celebrate what we built.

Prior robotics experience is preferred but not required. What we require is effort, consistency, and a willingness to learn.
Up to four days a week during build season. This is a real commitment. So is the reward.

FRC is one of the most resource-intensive programs in STEM education, and Annalytix is built to remove every barrier to competing at the top. The program covers the competition robot, tools, parts, registration for two district events and the District Championship, a dedicated facility, team shirt, robot transport, and professional coaching. The one cost families cover separately is hotels and travel — for district events, and if the team advances to the FIRST Championship in Houston. We walk every family through the full details when we meet to discuss those events.
Experience is preferred but not required. What we require is work ethic. If your child is willing to show up, put in the hours, and learn, we will teach them everything — CAD, fabrication, wiring, programming, strategy. Every student grows if they commit to the process.
Meeting days and hours shift with the season — see the schedule above — but expect 3–4 days a week and roughly 15–20 hours during build season. This is a serious competitive program, not a casual after-school club: the commitment is real, and so are the results.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the premier high school robotics competition in the world. Teams of students design, build, and program 120-pound industrial robots to compete in a new game each year. FRC is backed by Fortune 500 companies and recognized by top universities as one of the strongest extracurriculars a student can have.
As a new team that just completed our rookie season, we lean on community sponsorship and grants to keep costs sustainable. FRC is one of the most recognized extracurriculars in engineering and STEM admissions. Students build a real engineering portfolio and develop leadership and teamwork skills, often leaving with strong letters of recommendation from mentors who've watched them grow. Many FRC alumni attend schools like MIT, Caltech, Georgia Tech, and UT, and credit FRC as a decisive factor.
