ANNALYTIX 10312

A student-run FIRST Robotics Competition team out of Anna, Texas. We design in CAD, validate with real numbers, and build robots that do what the spreadsheet says they'll do — while growing engineers and leaders along the way.

How we run
the shop.

Every build cycle runs on a schedule and a set of subteams students actually own, end to end.

SOFTWARE

Autonomous & controls

Path planning, odometry, vision pipelines, and testing — built and validated like it has to work on the field, because it does.

MECHANICAL

Real fabrication time

CAD, prototyping, manufacturing, and the drivebase. Students run the mill, the drill press, and the wiring bench themselves.

STEM access, beyond the field

Through our partnership with StemCycles, we run community demos and workshops that grow hands-on STEM access well past competition season.

the life.

FRC follows a structured season. Here's what your child's year looks like, from first workshop to championship stage.

Jun – Aug Ramp-Up

Off-Season Foundation

New members join, skills get assessed, and we run intro workshops covering CAD, basic fabrication, and team workflows.

Sep – Dec Building

Pre-Season Training

Intensive skill development, advanced workshops, and strategy review of past games. We prototype subsystems for January.

January Full Intensity

Game Reveal & Design Sprint

FIRST releases the new game. The team breaks down the challenge and locks in a robot design within the first week.

Jan – Feb Full Intensity

Build Season

Six weeks of intense engineering — CAD to fabrication to wiring to code to testing. Every student owns a critical piece.

Mar – Apr Full Intensity

Competition Season

District events. Alliance selection, qualification matches, elimination rounds — the path to District Championship.

Apr – May Building

Championships & Debrief

District Championship push, and FIRST Championship in Houston if we qualify. Then debrief and celebrate what we built.

Grades 9–12

Open to high school students ready for a serious competitive program.

Work Ethic Over Experience

Prior robotics experience is preferred but not required. What we require is effort, consistency, and a willingness to learn.

Up To 20 Hours Per Week

Up to four days a week during build season. This is a real commitment. So is the reward.

What's included in the program?+

FRC is one of the most resource-intensive programs in STEM education, and Annalytix is built to remove every barrier to competing at the top. The program covers the competition robot, tools, parts, registration for two district events and the District Championship, a dedicated facility, team shirt, robot transport, and professional coaching. The one cost families cover separately is hotels and travel — for district events, and if the team advances to the FIRST Championship in Houston. We walk every family through the full details when we meet to discuss those events.

What if my child has no prior robotics experience?+

Experience is preferred but not required. What we require is work ethic. If your child is willing to show up, put in the hours, and learn, we will teach them everything — CAD, fabrication, wiring, programming, strategy. Every student grows if they commit to the process.

What is the time commitment?+

Meeting days and hours shift with the season — see the schedule above — but expect 3–4 days a week and roughly 15–20 hours during build season. This is a serious competitive program, not a casual after-school club: the commitment is real, and so are the results.

What is FRC?+

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the premier high school robotics competition in the world. Teams of students design, build, and program 120-pound industrial robots to compete in a new game each year. FRC is backed by Fortune 500 companies and recognized by top universities as one of the strongest extracurriculars a student can have.

Is there financial aid available?+

As a new team that just completed our rookie season, we lean on community sponsorship and grants to keep costs sustainable. If you can help us connect with a business that supports STEM, that goes a long way. When we meet one-on-one, we'll talk through what works for your family — we don't want finances to be the reason any student isn't able to be part of the program.

How does this help with university applications?+

FRC is one of the most recognized extracurriculars in engineering and STEM admissions. Students build a real engineering portfolio and develop leadership and teamwork skills, often leaving with strong letters of recommendation from mentors who've watched them grow. Many FRC alumni attend schools like MIT, Caltech, Georgia Tech, and UT, and credit FRC as a decisive factor.

How do I sign up?+

Step 1: Express interest and meet with our Lead Mentor and Head Coach, Darius Blount, for a one-on-one conversation about your child's goals. Step 2: Lock in your spot for the season. Step 3: We kick off the season in September.
